Vicki and Chris’ Awesome Woodstock Wedding

TwoToneVicChr(B)__003

Vicki and Chris’ Woodstock wedding adventure began at the Woodstock Holiday Inn and Suites.   The moment we arrived at Chris’ room and saw the liquor tickets displayed beside his boutonniere I knew their wedding celebration was going to be a day full of fun and one heck of a party.   Two rooms down Vicki was also getting ready, and we popped in and out of each room taking photos all the while making sure Chris and Vicki wouldn’t cross paths.

We headed to Craigowan Golf and Country Club which is “Nestled in the rolling hills of Oxford County, just north of Woodstock”  for the outdoor ceremony.     The ceremony was held in front of the beautiful ivy covered ruins of the original 1856 Farm house.     With clear skies the sun was beating down and the heat of the day got to the officiant who forgot to perform the ring ceremony.     After all laughs and with the ceremony concluded, it was time to get into the shade, rehydrate and take a bit of a break from the sun.

The family and wedding party photos where completed at Craigowan, and we jumped into the limo and headed with Vicki and Chris to a local Tractor dealership for photos.  We took a few photos with both the Case and John Deere tractors and concluded with photos at the front of the dealership along the country road.

We then Jumped back into the limo to cool off and headed back to Craigowan for the amazing reception and party that followed.

It was an awesome day filled with a ton of laughing and fun with 2 fantastic individuals and their family and friends.

Enjoy the photos :)

Chantal and Mike’s Guelph Wedding Adventure

TwoToneChaMik(blogwedding)_002

As soon as I walked into Chantal’s room at the Guelph Delta Hotel  and noticed a mug that read “Best Day Ever”, right then and there I knew Chantal and Mike’s Guelph Wedding Adventure was going to be a blast.

Not too often you get an opportunity to photograph the guys as they make the pilgrimage from where they got ready to the ceremony.   It was only fitting to capture the moments as the guys head down Arthur Street and across the foot bridge to the ceremony location at St.Georges Church.

Located on the banks of the Speed River is the beautiful old St. George’s Church.   St. Georges is one of the oldest and largest churches in Guelph, and I love photographing at this church.   Rev. Canon Ralph and Sexton Ron are really great people and fantastic to work with.   Chantal surprised Mike by walking down the isle to a live performance by her Glee Club students.  It was a beautiful ceremony with poems in both French and Italian as well as more entertainment by the Glee Club.   We photographed the Family photos in St.Georges then the wedding party boarded Brentwood Livery’s Limobus to the Albion Hotel for a few beverages and photos.

After leaving downtown Guelph, we headed towards Cambridge and Whistle Bear Golf Club for the awesome reception.   After taking a few chilly sunset photos, we sat down for an awesome meal,  listened to Jazz music and enjoyed Chantal and Mike’s Great Gatsby themed wedding reception party.

It really was one of the Best Days Ever.

Enjoy :)

“Kurt was an absolutely amazing photographer to work with. We had a previous photographer that had left us hanging. Kurt settled all of our previous misconceptions and made us excited for our day. Mike, myself, and our wedding party were veterans with wedding photography and Kurt was by far the best. He was creative, energetic, and kept the day moving. During the reception, Kurt had the brilliant idea of showing the days photos on his mini slideshow. We received so many compliments from this aspects and the untouched images looked absolutely amazing. Thank you so much Kurt for being a memorable part of our big day!”

Jake and Kaitlin’s Wedding Adventure in Glen Morris

JakeKaitlin(B)_002

Jake and Kaitlin’s Wedding Adventure on New Year’s Eve was a fantastic way to spend the last day of 2015.

We started the day out the day at the Wilson household with getting ready photos of Kaitlin and her ladies.   There we also met up with the awesome Brianne and Michael from KB Motion.   After a few photos and a little warm up of champagne, Kurt and the ladies boarded the “Travelling Circus” Bus to the Beautifully restored Brantford train station and continued with their photo session.   Mark then headed to the little hamlet of Glen Morris to photograph the guys getting ready.

We all joined up at the cosy Glen Morris Church where 150 of Jake and Kaitlin’s closest family and friends squeezed in to witness the beautiful ceremony.

After the ceremony we continued just up the road to the Sharp Homestead and took cover in the warmth of the driving shed for photos while snow started to fall outside.   Thank-you to Bill for allowing us the use of your farm for the photos.

After the photo session we followed the “Travelling Circus”  as they made a quick stop to pick up refreshments then onto Blessed Sacrament Hall in Burford for Kaitlin and Jake’s reception.   The Night which was complete with plaid jackets, a campfire, and hands down the best bride and groom tribute song I have ever heard “These are the things you don’t say to your wife”.

What a great day to end 2015 with a fantastic couple.

Enjoy the photos. :)

What made your wedding unique and awesome : It was 2 parties in 1. We had an amazing wedding experience, while ending the night clinking glasses and celebrating a new year with everyone love. The people also made it unique and awesome. Being from a small town, it is intriguing to learn about all the different connection amongst all our friends and family.

Favourite Memories of the Day:

Advice for future couples: Know that the month before is a crazy, hectic, stressful time. Make sure to communicate often and help each other, be understanding of each other’s emotions and TRY your best to enjoy every second. Also – as noted above New Years is a great day to have a wedding celebration, but keep in mind, the week before is Christmas.

Wedding, Winter, New Years, Photography,

“We had heard about Two Tone Studios through close friends of ours, who HIGHLY recommended their services. After viewing some of Kurt’s work online – we became very interested in having him be a part of our big day. Truthfully, it is certainly Kurt’s professionalism and enthusiasm to get the perfect shot are traits that put Kurt in a class of his own. However – it is his kindness and his patience that makes him and his studio more than desirable to work with. We have received so many compliments from our wedding guests on the quality of the pictures and the unique shots that Kurt was able to capture – which they were able to view at the reception during the photo reel Kurt had playing. We are so happy with our decision to have Two Tone Studios capture all the amazing moments of our day! We are now the ones HIGHLY recommending them to our friends and family.”

Amanda and Andrew’s Awesome Wedding Adventure

AmandaAndrew(blog)_001

With the windows rolled down and making the 2 hour trek north on country backroads, it came apparent why I love back country driving.  The small villages and open country side creates a more relaxed driving experience then the busy and craziness of the 400 series highways.    The beauty of the rolling hills in Caledon and beyond is breath taking, but the ever present rain clouds that are lingering will surly make this day interesting.

Upon arriving at the Mashinter’s Residence in Angus we where greeted by Lilly, a Beautiful Mini Australian Shepard who Amanda and Andrew recently rescued.    It also came apparent that Amanda’s favourite colour was purple, and we just had to use the walls of her old bedroom as a backdrop for some of the photos.

Ivy is a Quant little town or some will call an intersection just south of Angus.   It had the honour last year to be the host site of the International Plowing Match which we where the official event photographer.    Ivy was also host to Amanda and Andrew’s Wedding Ceremony which was held at the Orange brick Ivy Hall.  This is where we first got a glimpse at Amanda’s father Paul’s fully restored 1948 car and his 1948 pickup truck which was once owned by his father.

After the ceremony and with the Thunder starting to rumble we quickly headed over to the Turnbull Family Farm, and took photos with the old cars,  Amanda’s beloved horse Missy, and with Andrew’s Grandfather’s John Deer Tractor which Andrew lovingly restored.   Just as we finished up photos with the tractor the rain started to fall, and we found refuge in the old barn before heading to Drysdale Tree Farm for the reception.  The Rain Continued throughout the evening and made those rolling back country roads more of an adventure on the way home.

What a great day and a fantastic couple.  Enjoy the photos. :)
