Jake and Kaitlin’s Wedding Adventure in Glen Morris
Jake and Kaitlin’s Wedding Adventure on New Year’s Eve was a fantastic way to spend the last day of 2015.
We started the day out the day at the Wilson household with getting ready photos of Kaitlin and her ladies. There we also met up with the awesome Brianne and Michael from KB Motion. After a few photos and a little warm up of champagne, Kurt and the ladies boarded the “Travelling Circus” Bus to the Beautifully restored Brantford train station and continued with their photo session. Mark then headed to the little hamlet of Glen Morris to photograph the guys getting ready.
We all joined up at the cosy Glen Morris Church where 150 of Jake and Kaitlin’s closest family and friends squeezed in to witness the beautiful ceremony.
After the ceremony we continued just up the road to the Sharp Homestead and took cover in the warmth of the driving shed for photos while snow started to fall outside. Thank-you to Bill for allowing us the use of your farm for the photos.
After the photo session we followed the “Travelling Circus” as they made a quick stop to pick up refreshments then onto Blessed Sacrament Hall in Burford for Kaitlin and Jake’s reception. The Night which was complete with plaid jackets, a campfire, and hands down the best bride and groom tribute song I have ever heard “These are the things you don’t say to your wife”.
What a great day to end 2015 with a fantastic couple.
Enjoy the photos.
What made your wedding unique and awesome : It was 2 parties in 1. We had an amazing wedding experience, while ending the night clinking glasses and celebrating a new year with everyone love. The people also made it unique and awesome. Being from a small town, it is intriguing to learn about all the different connection amongst all our friends and family.
Any Surprises: How quickly the day went by
Best Wedding Related Decision: To have our wedding on New Years Eve
Favourite Memories of the Day:
Kaitlin: Seeing my dad’s reaction of me before we went to the church, because he hadn’t seen me yet – Walking into the church was an amazing experience, seeing all the people you love in one room and knowing that they are there for YOU – also to see Jake and his emotional reaction, it melted my heart.
Favourite Memories of the Day:
Jake: the Glen Morris church, the tight cozy atmosphere in a small but character filled room – that is just what we are all about
The images in this slideshow were viewed and enjoyed by Kaitlin and Jake’s guest at their wedding reception. Each Same Day slideshow is selected and edited at the reception during the dinner, and will contain many more images. We begin the process by downloading our cards then browsing and selecting our favourites. From there we quickly edit each selected image for viewing – there are no special filters, no photoshop, nothing crazy just the images in their purest form. For a better quality show click on the settings button and select 720p quality. Sit back and Enjoy
Advice for future couples: Know that the month before is a crazy, hectic, stressful time. Make sure to communicate often and help each other, be understanding of each other’s emotions and TRY your best to enjoy every second. Also – as noted above New Years is a great day to have a wedding celebration, but keep in mind, the week before is Christmas.
Favourite Detail: Jake says that his favourite detail is the music. I would say my favourite detail was the feeling and look of our reception hall. It was warm, cozy and romantic.

“We had heard about Two Tone Studios through close friends of ours, who HIGHLY recommended their services. After viewing some of Kurt’s work online – we became very interested in having him be a part of our big day. Truthfully, it is certainly Kurt’s professionalism and enthusiasm to get the perfect shot are traits that put Kurt in a class of his own. However – it is his kindness and his patience that makes him and his studio more than desirable to work with. We have received so many compliments from our wedding guests on the quality of the pictures and the unique shots that Kurt was able to capture – which they were able to view at the reception during the photo reel Kurt had playing. We are so happy with our decision to have Two Tone Studios capture all the amazing moments of our day! We are now the ones HIGHLY recommending them to our friends and family.”
